Shuanghong Bridge 双虹桥 takes advantage of a natural narrowing of the Nujiang River, where a larger rock divides the river into two parts, so that a shorter bridge could be built with a solid foundation. On the western side the trade path went straight up through the modern eco tourism region of Baihualing 百花岭, before descending towards Tengchong. 

This bridge is today still in daily use.
