Dali City is really two parts, the modern and utterly Han Chinese city of Xiaguan and then the area around Erhai, the homeland of the Bai people, with the Old City of Dali as its tourist hub.
Shuanglang Old Town
Once a tranquil Bai fishing town, Shuanglang nowadays capitalizes on its splendid position on the eastern shore of Erhai.
Fengyi Town
Fengyu is now mostly an industrial and commercial suburb of Xiaguan, but its interesting history still shows in some buildings.
