Guangnan County 广南县

Guangnan's population, outside the county town is overwhelmingly Zhuang and there are a number of traditional Zhuang villages that are worth visiting. Bamei 八美, north of the county town, receives top billing as the village is totally surrounded by karst, accessible via a boat ride through a karst cave. Babao, in the south and closer to Funing, lies in pretty countryside but the town has suffered some ugly development.

The county's other minority are the Miao, found on marginal land and often extremely poor.
